Andrea is a Brazilian-born
photojournalist based between in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo/Brazil. After
more then 5 years living and working in London she decided to go back to her
home country.
Her work centres on social and human rights issues, immigration, migration,
women and disability.
She is part of a collective of women working with media called MADREMEDIA
She works as a freelance photojournalist for the main Brazilian media and
other international publications. She has also been working for many NGO's
and human right organizations.
Clients include: Der Spiegel (Germany), D la Repubblica delle Donne (Italy), Newsweek (Japan), Dagsavisen (Norway), Folha de Sao Paulo (Brazilian newspaper), Estadao (Brazilian newspaper), Agencia Estado, Veja magazine, Action Aid, Shelter, Mencap, City University, Sense, Capital Volunteering, Islington Music Forum, Extant.

Awards: Magenta Publishing of the Arts - Emerging Photographers 2007 (selected winner); Photo Espana 2007 - Descubrimientos (selected winner); PX3 Prix de la Photographie Paris 2007 (honorable mention)
